STATEMENT
I have been developing personal and collective projects with experimentation and cross-contami- nation of contemporary art languages, in dialogue with social and geographical borderlands for more than twenty years.
My starting point is the encounter between real places and poetic and symbolic spaces, giving art a sensitive and political role that reveals and reimagines different views and new possible relation- ships with the land we belong to.
What I look for in my research are connections between the human being and his environment, where art and social encounters become moments to gather, discuss and reconsider today’s contemporary world, its humanity and collectivity, discovering new points of view and new ways of living. My interest in social and human issues and a political approach take me to conceive the work as a research forge dedicated to the communities involved, born as the potential of context, built through relationships, passage of experiences and hybrid languages.
The format, through which I articulate these collaborations, is usually the workshop, a space of research in which people can exercise their desires and demands; a future-oriented sociality in which to stage, albeit temporarily, forms of citizenship in which bodies become spaces of action that produce reality and imagination.
An invitation to open up to an immense territory, to a great feast of the imaginary, where we can transfigure ourselves, find new words and rituals, politically practise joy in a new symphonic order, and search together, in situated practices, for the signs of a planetary ecology.
